Wuhan Pastor: Immersed in God’s Word Better than Shrouded by Coronavirus

By Ruth WangFebruary 19th, 2020

People are prone to be anxious in the face of the coronavirus outbreak.

A pastor from a church in Wuhan, the epicenter of COVID-19, reminded his congregation to be immersed in God's word rather than being shrouded by the pneumonia.

Moreover, he said the members could contact the church staff if they have any need during the epidemic, also urging them to care for neighbors, colleagues and friends by their side.

In addition, he said that the two boxes of face masks donated to the church have not yet been delivered, so co-workers are now contacting the logistic company.

"Please remember to stay joyful in the Lord, apart from daily Bible reading and prayers. Drink more boiled water and wear masks and shoe covers when you go out. Discard disposable masks (into special trash cans) when used for as many as four hours and don't bring used shoe covers into rooms", the pastor said, "May God grant us wisdom and the capability to reflect the Lord's love during the outbreak."
