A Shaanxi church held a thanksgiving celebration for the fourth anniversary of the completion of its sanctuary.
From July 10 to 11, besides playing the video of the dedication of the sanctuary four years ago, Shuguang Church in Baoji, Shaanxi, held sermons, a praise meeting, theatrical performances, baptism, and communion services.
One day in 1992, five believers started to gather without a fixed meeting place. Worshipping God outside sometimes, they rode bicycles through streets to preach the gospel, so people jokingly referred to it as a "church on a bicycle".
In October of 2006, they rented a two-story warehouse with 500 square meters (0.0124 acres) from the Riza Company in Shuguang Road for more than ten years as their first temple, so it was called “Shuguang Church”. In 2012, due to the demolition of the company that owned the warehouse, they built a small church in 15 days, which was called the "Sanctuary of Floating Board Houses".
After four years of hard work, the new church was completed in December 2016. Christmas services were held on that Christmas, followed by five days’ celebrations of dedication held on July 12, 2017.
In the Sunday service conducted on July 11, 2021, 17 seekers were baptized by sprinkling.
