Zhongmu County CC&TSPM in Zhengzhou, Henan, distributed food and water to flood-affected people.
As the record-breaking rainstorms heavily hit Henan cities, causing many people in Xinxiang and Zhengzhou to lose their homes, believers from Zhongmu County set up service points ten kilometers away to help persons in need starting from last Saturday.
In addition to fast food, such as milk, bread, instant noodles, biscuits, and mineral water, church members supplied hot meals, including hot steamed buns, big pot dishes, and spicy soup.
A local pastor said some people had returned home to clean and disinfect their houses, while some communities were pumping water out, as the flood had receded. Till 12 a.m. on Tuesday, the heaviest rainstorm in 1000 years had caused 71 deaths, affecting 13.3 million people and more than 1 million hectares of crops, according to China Daily.
