Recently, many churches in Northeast China said that they would be temporarily closed due to the raging pandemic.

Shenyang Command Center for COVID-19 Control and Prevention in Liaoning announced the suspension of activities in some places where the coronavirus could easily spread, as locally transmitted cases had recently been reported in Nanjing, Zhangjiajie, and Zhengzhou cities, and the chains of transmission had quickly spread to other provinces and cities, causing clusters of cases.

In addition, the same announcements were released by many churches in other places, including some Liaoning cities such as Dalian, Anshan, Yingkou, Kaiyuan in Tieling City, Changtu, and Beipiao in Chaoyang City, as well as some cities in Heilongjiang and Jilin provinces.

The churches also called on the congregations to do personal protection, pray for the country, the local city and churches, and not to travel outside their regions and provinces unless absolutely necessary in response to the government's requests.
