Throughout the history of the Chinese church, the development and renewal of small congregations have been vital issues that cannot be overlooked. How to break through these bottlenecks and revitalize these churches has become a pressing challenge for many grassroots congregations and a shared concern for all who care about the church's growth.

The Protestant churches of China have been growing like a new sprout breaking through the soil, well sown and well harvested, since the resumption of gatherings in the 1980s, but in recent years, this splendid original scene seems to have been shadowed, and church development appears to have reached a growth ceiling. I believe that eight unhealthy tendencies hinder church revival.

Liaozhong District CC&TSPM of Shenyang, Liaoning Province, where the September 18 Incident broke out, hosted a cultural gala on Wednesday to commemorate the 94th anniversary.

Liufang Church, located in the Jiangxia District of Wuhan, recently commemorated the 40th anniversary of its resumption of services. Founded by the Swedish Mission Covenant Church, the church has navigated numerous challenges throughout its history. Its journey of growth and resilience exemplifies the profound love and grace of Christ.

After a tornado struck the Yangqian Christian Activity Site in Liaozhong District on Aug. 21, local church leaders delivered donations and called on the Christian community to aid post-disaster recovery. The storm tore down the chapel’s cross, ripped off roofs, damaged greenhouses and left the rural congregation with losses of about 100,000 yuan.

On August 7, Wenhua Road Church in Pulandian District, Dalian, Liaoning Province, hosted a thanksgiving and praise service to mark the seventh anniversary of the "Joshua Senior Fellowship."

Through unwavering faith and earnest prayer, a township church witnessed a miraculous breakthrough as water burst forth from solid rockce.

On July 2, Dongguan Church in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, resumed worship services, drawing over 1,600 believers. This marked the first gathering at the church since services were suspended at the end of 2019, a hiatus that lasted over five years.

Sister A serves as the leader of a prominent church, now regarded as the most influential in the local community. However, the journey to establishing the church was far from smooth.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the third relocation and reconstruction of Xikou Jesus Church.
