A thanksgiving service for the ground-breaking of a new church in the Jiading District was held last Saturday after many years of preparation.
Due to COVID-19, just a few people attended the short and simple ceremony, which was led by Rev. Chen Qin, secretary-general of Jiading District CC&TSPM, with blessings from Rev. Yang Yulan, director of the district CC&TSPM, according to Shanghai CC&TSPM.
The new Elim Church will be built next to the Lianqi River, Chengliu Middle Road, Xincheng Road.
