A less fortunate family, believers, and lonely elderly Christians were helped and visited by Shanxi CC&TSPM, churches in Jiangsu and Guangxi.
On December 29, Jin Yuting, executive vice chairman of Shanxi CC&TSPM and director of Shanxi CC&TSPM Social Service Ministry Committee, presented 10,000 yuan and supplies to a needy family in Xinghualing District of Taiyuan City, as the family bore a huge burden due to the serious disease of the child, the provincial CC&TSPM reported. After verifying the relevant information, Jin initiated a donation campaign among churches and meeting points in Taiyuan City, as the family applied for assistance through the community after they learnt about the social service project of Shanxi CC&TSPM.
On January 5, more than a dozen destitute believers received financial funds in Shishan Church in Suzhou, Jiangsu, according to Suzhou CC&TSPM.
Just on the same day, the head and staff of Hepu Church in Beihai, Guangxi, paid a visit to eight rural families 12 kilometers away before the Chinese New year. Besides trimming fingernails and washing clothes for them, church members conversed with these widowed believers who were over 80 years old, and also sent food to them.
