Fujian Churches Donate Supplies for COVID-19

Recently, leaders of Fujian churches have participated in fighting the epidemic, donating many supplies.

Rev. Lin Xueying, vice president and deputy general secretary of of Fuzhou Christian Council (CC), visited the front-line anti-pandemic workers on behalf of Fuzhou CC&TSPM and Fuzhou Paiwei Church, with donations of anti-epidemic supplies. She purchased walkie-talkies, food and other materials totaling more than 5,000 yuan for the checkpoints, providing nearly 4,000 yuan worth masks, gloves and mineral water to Cangqian Street.

Rev. Lin said, "As the staff at the checkpoints work very hard around the clock, I should do my best to help them", with her acts commended by the district leaders.

A batch of food was delivered to Xiahuai Community in Quanzhou by a female beliver in Quannan Church who is also the chairman of a company on March 20. Two days lanter, Yu Rishan and Su Yongfu from the church, who are also chairmen of two local companies in Quanzhou, each donated 1,000 KN95 masks and five thousand yuan to the Heping Community in Lizhong Street, the church reported.

As of March 31, Fujian Province had reported a total of 1,139 local confirmed cases since March 13, including 55 asymptomatic confirmed cases.
