Northeast China Theological Seminary hosted an admission test for 122 candidates.
In the meanwhile as a result of recent virus outbreaks, tests were postponed for applicants from Dalian and other provinces, according to CCC&TSPM.
Following the COVID-19 protocols after arriving at the seminary based in Shenyang City on September 14, candidates attended the oral tests, covering comprehensive knowledge such as biblical knowledge, current affairs and politics, and traditional culture.
In the written exam held the next day, basic knowledge of Christianity, such as Church History, Brief History of the Hebrew People, Theological Construction, and the Indigenization of Christianity in China were included, as well as Chinese, English, Politics, and History. Candidates of the Sacred Music College needed to take a newly-added subject of basic music theory.
Elder Shi Aijun, chairman of the Liaoning Provincial TSPM and president of the seminary was the exam invigilator.
