Shandong CC&TSPM held an online meeting of the Rural Church Ministry Special Committee.
On September 29, as the host of the meeting, Rev. Gao Ming, director of Shandong TSPM, highlighted that the meeting would focus on carrying out legal popularization activities in rural churches, resisting heresies and religion penetration, and helping to solve hot and difficult problems to promote the Christianity in the Chinese context, according to Shandong CC&TSPM.
Rev. Sun Fatian, vice president of Shandong Christian Council and director of the Rural Church Ministry Special Committee, reported the current situation, existing problems, and countermeasures of rural churches in combination with the investigative work of the special committee in rural areas. Rev. Sun believed that since the rural church members make up the majority of the province’s believers, it was important to improve the standardized management of rural churches and fine pastoral care.
