This Sunday, a church in Shanxi and its meeting places in rural areas will start meeting again in person. This is the first full recovery after three years of the epidemic.
Linfen City's Yaodu District CC&TSPM held a meeting for leaders of meeting points, fellowships, and groups on February 25. Together with the content of the volunteer training in January, they came up with a theme for pastoral ministry in 2023. The chief pastor also gave a special sermon and reviewed and summarized the work done in 2022. He also set up and sent out ministries for 2023.
In group discussions, people shared their stories and feelings about the epidemic. They also talked about their pastoral experiences and came up with a service vision and goals for the coming year. Pastors urged church staff to serve believers to draw them back with the concept of "going the extra mile."
When it came to hardware, meeting points in rural areas did renovation like fixing the ground and painting the doors and windows.
In Yaodu District Church, full-time staff carried out waterproof repairs on the roof of the fourth floor and laid lawns. Choir members packed last year’s Christmas gifts, which will be distributed to believers on March 5. At the same time, the church has upgraded the voice control equipment with a donation of more than 100,000 yuan from a male believer.
