The believers who were enrolled in a literacy class at a church located in Jiangsu, situated on the east coast of China, have successfully completed their lessons and graduated.
According to Huai’an CC&TSPM, the graduation ceremony for the sixth literacy class was held on the afternoon of June 13 at the Huai’an Christian Church.
Rev. Shi Li, the vice chairman, and secretary general of Jiangsu TSPM, mentioned the original intention of opening church literacy classes. The aim was to enable believers to become better disciples by improving their ability to read the Bible. Rev. Ni Jinli, the chairman of the municipal TSPM and director of the municipal Christian Church, also urged the students to continuously enhance their cultural and spiritual level while continuing to participate in service.
Finally, the pastors presented the literacy class students with certificates of completion and Bibles.
The literacy class of Huai’an Christian Church was initiated in 1999 and has been held six times since the launch of the “Lamp & Light” ministry of Jiangsu CC&TSPM, with over 400 students participating in the study. Through literacy classes, believers who are illiterate for various reasons gradually learn to read, write, and understand the scriptures.
