As the Lunar New Year approaches, churches in Yunnan, Guangxi, and Jiangxi undertook visitation ministries.
The Trinity International Church in Kunming, Yunnan, held an event to express care for believers before the Spring Festival, said the megachurch. On January 27, Rev. Shao Liliang encouraged believers to steadfastly uphold their faith and bear witness to God, giving financial support.
The next day, the last Sunday of January, Senior Pastor Zhang Yezhong of Beihai Church in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, along with the David Choir members, attended the Sunday worship service at a village gathering site in Xingang Town, Tieshangang District. Reverend Zhang, gifted in calligraphy, wrote spring couplets related to faith for believers.
They also visited rural churches in Nankang Town and Fucheng Village.
Nankang Church was established in 1907 by Eugène-Paul Coupat from the Lutheran Church in Germany, with church affairs conducted by Germans. Pastor Zhu Faming, the head of the church, said it was reconstructed with self-raised funds in 1994.
German Lutheran missionaries constructed Fucheng Village Church in 1910, which resumed services in 1986, and built a new structure in 2000.
On January 29, Elder Zeng Bincai, the leader of the Gospel Church in Fengcheng City, Jiangxi, drove to various towns, villages, and streets in the city with the staff. They visited over 40 elderly, sick, bedridden, and economically challenged believers, bringing along cash and cooking oil as a gesture of support and care.
