Two gathering sites launched activities to celebrate the 11th anniversary of its foundaing or relocation at the same time.
Nansha gathering site of Nansha District Church held a series of activities to celebrate the 11th anniversary, with a total of nearly 830 people participating from June 22 to 23, according to Guangzhou CC&TSPM. The activities mainly included the second all-day Bible-study retreat, worship, and a praise meeting with the theme of “Pursuing Growth in Ministry.”
Rev. Wu Zhongwu, executive vice chairman of Guangzhou TSPM and senior pastor of Savior Church and Chini Church, was invited to testify on the topic of “Learning About Paul’s Service" from Philippians,’ encouraging believers to commit themselves to serving, to being Christ-like, and to becoming living witness through the abundant provision. At the same time, the church launched the “Tithing and New Moon” ceremony, in which believers signed a covenant to tithe every month.
Dongshan Church’s Qinglong Lane gathering site held a service on June 23 to celebrate the 11th anniversary of the opening of its new location. Rev. Chen Suisheng, president of the Guangzhou CC and senior pastor of Dongshan Church, was invited to preach a sermon titled “Giving Blessings Through Us.” He exhorted believers to carry on their mission and pass on their faith with personal gifts, to glorify God and to benefit others. In addition, the church invited the worship team of Shahe Church and the grace choir of the Yuan Village gathering site to present songs.
