The preparatory meeting for the "First Forum on Sinicization of Christianity in the Yangtze River Delta" kicked off in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province.
On August 29, responsible pastoral staff from CC&TSPMs of Shanghai, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangsu, and Nanjing Union Theological Seminary attended the meeting, said the CCC&TSPM.
The Christian community in the Yangtze River Delta region plans to convene its first forum on the sinicization of Christianity in the second half of this year. The forum is dedicated to "systematically promoting the sinicization of Christianity in China" and engaging in in-depth discussions on the current situation, challenges, and future development of Christianity's localization in the Yangtze River Delta. Additionally, the seminar aims to enhance exchanges and cooperation within the Christian community in the region.
During the preparatory meeting, participants discussed the details of the "Forum Implementation Plan (Draft for Comments)" and reached a preliminary consensus on the event's time, scale, theme, and discussion format.
A liaison group for the upcoming forum was formed at the meeting to facilitate the subsequent progress.
