Recently, Ningbo Centennial Church, Zhejiang, released the events during the “Christmas month” on its official website.
Christmas has traditionally been a period of the year when churches in China are busy with various activities, with quite a few churches referring to December as the "Christmas month."
The celebrations will include an annual gathering for ministry workers on December 14, an evangelistic meeting on December 22, another one on Christmas Eve, and a Christmas celebration event on December 25.
On December 31, two prayer meetings will be held to greet the incoming year.
Ningbo Centennial Church was marked by the first reopening of the church after the Cultural Revolution. In May 1948, the church was newly constructed by the Anglican church in China and named the "Centennial Church" to commemorate the centenary of missionary work in Ningbo initiated by Christian Missionary Society missionaries Colbald and Russell of the Church of England in 1848.
