The journal Religions (A&HCI) is inviting submissions for a special issue titled Chinese Christianity and Knowledge Development, focusing on how Christianity in the transmission has advanced knowledge in China.
In the announcement on Chinese Christian Studies, the special issue will explore how religious knowledge has been introduced, translated, transmitted, and modernized, alongside its influence on Chinese society and culture. Scholars are invited to submit unpublished original research articles and reviews on topics such as the role of Chinese Christianity in knowledge development, the transition and systematization of knowledge, the establishment of academic disciplines, and the impact of Christianity on publications and modern media.
Prof. Dr. Mingyu Lu from Beijing Jiaotong University and Prof. Dr. Qinghe Xiao from Peking University will serve as editors for this special issue.
The deadline for manuscript submissions is October 31, 2025. Authors interested in contributing should first submit a title and abstract (200–300 words) for review, followed by the full manuscript. All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process.
