Growing up in the church, Sister Zhang is the leader of a church in the Northwest and has been working full-time in the church for many years. "A Christian who is reborn and saved will definitely experience miracles in their life," she stated after hearing, witnessing, and experiencing many miracles.
To Zhang, every day is filled with miracles, and even joy is a kind of miracle.
Unlike happiness, joy is hard to attain. Especially in today's society, with busy work tasks, complex relationships, and heavy economic pressures, people often fall into anxiety, fatigue, and unease.
"Once happiness ends, sorrow comes, but joy is different. When others see you struggling, but the spirit of joy inside you gives you hope, and in that hope, you find joy. That's a miracle," she said with a satisfied smile.
She added, "For example, a headache disappears after prayer; or when talking with someone, God gives you wisdom for the conversation. These are also miracles."
She admitted, "Of course, in reality, many prayers go unanswered. Sometimes it's due to sin, and other times it's for balance."
Zhang mentioned examples like the apostle Paul and John Sung, the "Wesley of China." Both loved God and were loved by Him, but Paul had a "thorn" that was never removed, and John Sung also passed away without healing after his illness.
She shared a personal experience where her brother who loved the Lord passed away after she prayed all night long until 5 a.m. the next day.
"He got sick so that many people who loved him would benefit from his suffering as part of God's will," she continued, "Although I knew that, I still couldn't emotionally accept it. I kept praying, asking God to help me accept this fact."
"And God told me, 'Separation through life and death is temporary, but in heaven, it's eternal. The most painful thing is when someone has cancer—if they die now, they'll still die in heaven, and that's the greatest sorrow.'" She found comfort in these words, and her pain ceased.
She sighed, "God always leads us into joy and comforts our hearts. That's a miracle. If it weren't a miracle, the heart would be filled with sorrow."
"If a person is connected to God, then every day is a miracle, and they can experience joy."
She said, "In the past, I had a very short temper. When I got angry, I wouldn't care about anyone's feelings. I acted impulsively and lacked wisdom. If anyone offended me, I wouldn't talk it through; I'd immediately ask them to leave. Back then, I was too young, didn't have much education, and hadn't interacted with many people. I only cared about work, and as a result, I offended everyone around me."
Even her own husband reminded her, "Do you still believe in Jesus? You're always getting angry."
Zhang said, "I used to think I was so great. I could do anything. I could sing beautifully, preach, and teach others. What I could do, others couldn't."
Later, God allowed her to face many things she couldn't handle on her own. Zhang slowed down her speech and said gently, "I really couldn't solve it myself, so what could I do? I could only pray. Later, in prayer, God shined His light on me, and I realized I needed to repent. From then on, I changed in many ways."
The transformation of her personal life from the inside out is a miracle. Now, when one spends time with her, one can feel her straightforwardness and warmth, not the picky and irritable side of the past.
She said, "If we believe, we can experience God's presence. Every day, we need to translate the word 'Emmanuel' into our daily lives."
