Xinshi Church in Haikou, the capital of China's southernmost province, held celebrations to honor Christmas. The programs included hymns, dances, and music performances. After the party, the church staff passed out apples to the audiences.

Founded in about 1980, the church has around fifty or sixty members and most of the congregation are above 40 and locals. It has a building completed in 2014.

Owing to the urban construction in Xinshi, a county that becomes an urban village, outsiders will begin to enter the church.

The weekly activities are prayer meetings, a fellowship for young people, marriage counseling, choral practice, and a Sunday service.
