On January 20, 2018, the Jincheng CCC&TSPM of Shanxi urged local churches to be younger and strengthen training and employing for young church workers in a meeting of the standing committee of the organizations.

Rev. Niu Tianping, head of the city CCC&TSPM, said that the average age of local congregants should be 55. The church should apply for various kinds of training and chances to learn for young people. In addition, Rev. Niu interpreted the revised regulations on religious affairs that took effect on Feb. 1, 2018.

Elder Shan Meiling, president of the Jincheng CCC, pointed out that some heresies and cults intruded local churches. Rev. Niu stated that church workers from the CCC&TSPM would be sent to kick out church members who spread cults.
