This year's Father's Day was celebrated on June 21 all around the world. It was also the second Sunday service after the resumption of onsite church services in Baoji, Shaanxi.

On that day, a speaker preached a sermon entitled "Preparing Unleavened Cake: Reflections after the Pandemic Era" in Baoji Dawning Church. It was indeed an unusual Father’s Day celebrated with brothers and sisters in the church.

At 8:30 in the morning, many believers consciously wore masks. They were still in orderly rows spaced one meter apart outside the east and west gates. They used their mobile phones to scan the "Health QR Code," took their temperature, and registered their attendance.

In the main hall on the second floor, a sister in front of the main stage taught the worshippers "Song of the Loving Father." This praise hymn was written in 1982 by Zhao Shaoyun, who was born in Yiyang, Henan. He is a rural preacher and loved by believers. The score was written by his son Zhao Baoxiang. This praise hymn was written when he was 82 years old. At that time he participated in a volunteer training class held by the Henan Provincial CC&TSPM in Luoyang. After being chosen by a committee as a new hymn, the song was not only widely circulated in China, but also translated into English, and was included in a compilation of hymns that were published in the United Kingdom. His hymn can now be sung in many places.

Based on a passage in Exodus 12:14-20, and 39: 50-51, pastor Xie Yuan shared the following in his sermon: “As guests on the heavenly road, We should prepare unleavened bread according to the teachings of the Bible, continue to equip us with the truth of the Bible, leave Egypt, go out of the wilderness, and enter the beautiful land of Canaan.”
