A church in the eastern coastal Jiangsu Province in China conducted one more service on Sunday after its resumption due to its reinforcement and repair work.

According to its official WeChat account, Mochou Lu Church in Nanjing said it would carry out five-month reinforcement and repair work of its main building starting from May 7th, changing to hold services in other four rooms. The church added that one more Sunday service would be hosted as the space of worship narrowed. Previously, it hosted two Saturday services and two Monday services.

It once announced the resumption of in-person Saturday and Sunday services at 9:22 am on April 30 after its one-and-a-half month suspension due to new cases of COVID-19. That day happened to be Saturday when the church restarted its first Saturday service at 10:00 which was originally held at 9:00 just when it received approval from the higher authority.

Pastors reminded young believers to come to worship on Saturday evening or attend the second and third services on Sunday, which had fewer worshippers, arranging the senior believers on the first floor to worship God. Christians who have visited, lived, or worked in other cities are advised to stay at home to help with the prevention and control of the epidemic.
