Church staff of a church in China’s northeastern Liaoning Province paid visits to aged believers who couldn’t attend church services in person or online.

On June 2, Thursday, the day before the Dragon Boat Festival, five female elderly believers were visited by pastoral staff of Shuishiying Church in Lushunkou District, Dalian, Liaoning, as some of them living in the nursing home were not allowed to go out to the church due to COVID-19, and some couldn’t operate their smart phones to worship God virtually.

Since the church reopened on May 29, last Sunday, the church’s pastoral care and activities of each group and fellowship have been resumed.

After learning about the situations of these believers, staff members carried out this visitation ministry, talking with the senior Christians about their faith, previous church service, testimonies and their beautiful lives in Christ.

In the home of an aged female believer who did not go to church for her spiritual doubts, Senior Pastor Liu Xuesong offered exhortation and prayers for her. Building spiritual strength and with the doubts having been resolved, she stated that she would come back to church next week.
