CCC&TSPM welcomed a delegation from the Hong Kong Chinese Christian Churches Union (HKCCCU), the first time receiving visitors from outside the mainland since COVID-19.

Rev. Xu Xiaohong, chairman of the Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM), received the 13-member delegation from HKCCCU on March 14, according to CCC&TSPM.

Xu said that this was the first delegation that CCC&TSPM had received since the three-year pandemic. The two groups recalled the cooperation and friendship before and during the epidemic, and they felt so grateful to be reunited in the Lord again.

Rev. Shen Xuebin, vice president of the China Christian Council (CCC), hosted the symposium. At the meeting, both sides shared the ministry challenges of the post-epidemic era and communicated on how to promote further cooperation.

Pastor Xu explained the meaning of the Sinicization of Christianity, which is to tell the stories of Chinese Christians with China's socialist core values and integrate Chinese traditional culture without any comprise on Christian belief.

Rev. Chan Tak Cheong, chairman of the HKCCCU, expressed his gratitude to the CCC & TSPM for their reception and invited their fellow workers to visit the Hong Kong church.

The HKCCCU is a non-denominational Christian organization with a total of 397 church members. The association has a wide influence on the Hong Kong church and participates in local church ministries and social services.
