Religious groups went to visit and help less fortunate students in Jiangsu Province, which is on China's eastern coast.

The TSPM, the red cross society, the ethnic and religious affairs bureau, and the Buddhist association in Taicang, Suzhou City, provided financial support to students in difficulty in Qiuji Town, Suining County, Xuzhou City, reported Jiangsu CC&TSPM.

In Wanglin Middle School in Qiuji Town, funds and school supplies donated by the Taicang TSPM and the Taicang Buddhist Association were distributed to 16 families by Shi Yongjian, the executive vice president of the Taicang Red Cross Society and the deputy director of the Taicang Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau. He also encouraged students to make good use of their time and study hard.

Afterward, the group delivered rice, cooking oil, clothes, and books to needy students in two villages in the town. The Taicang TSPM also paid visits to the families of two believers.
