Shanghai Community Church was dedicated again after years of renovation.
During the service held by Xuhui CC&TSPM on March 28, Rev. Xu Yulan, chairman of Shanghai TSPM thanked the Party and government leaders at all levels for their support in the repair work, encouraging believers to love the country and the church and explore the practice of sinicization of Christianity in Shanghai, according to Shanghai CC&TSPM.
Rev. Cao Shengjie, the former chairman of the China Christian Council, affirmed the church's special contribution to foreign affairs such as united worship, simultaneous translation, and foreign language worship. It was hoped that the church would continue to tell the beautiful story of Shanghai Christianity in the new era.
Rev. Zhao Xin, the deputy director and secretary-general of Xuhui District CC&TSPM, reported on the church repair process.
