Chinese 'Sequel' to British Classic Chariots of Fire Greenlit to Tell the Eric Liddell’s Life in China After His Olympic Success

Focusing on Eric Liddel's life after his Olympic success, an  unofficial sequel to British classic Chariots of Fire named "Completely Surrender" (or "absolute surrender") greenlit in China recently. The film is currently in production and will focus on Eric's Christian faith as the main storyline, telling of his missionary career after he won the Olympic gold medal in China. Airui Li, formerly known as Eric Liddell, was born in 1902 in Tianjin and is a Scottish sprinter. Published in  1981, Chariots of Fire tells the story of the first half of Eric Liddell's life. In order to fight against racial prejudice and to  win honor for fellows, he won the Olympic gold in 1924 and became the first Jewish to win an Olympic gold medal.

Ideally, the British director will take similar 'feeling' with Chariots and an authentic Scottish actor will play Eric Liddell. "1905 movie net reported that Ultimate Victory directed by Chinese director Stephen will be wrapped up on August 17 and religious elements in the film are being played down .

The director said, "The film is not a story of faith. It mainly tells the love among the people." The introduction of film is about Eric liddell who loves China and is willing to give up his Olympic championship to win back the high quality life. It is about his return to China that was invaded by Japan's brutality, his meeting xu niu in a  difficult period , and their time as they stood resolutely against murderous shame together. He  saved considerable prisoners of war from various countries and is held held by the Japanese in weifang, ' achieving immortal legend in his short life" for two prototypes of Liddell in the movie. Isengard said, "We are unable to evaluate other films but neither respect or the chariots of the audience, please believe that "Completely Surrender " in his life, he will never waver or fade of the power of faith."
