Canadian pop star Justin Bieber has confessed that he has been listening to some worship songs on his downtime to relax and give him peace spiritually.
The 22-year old has posted a screenshot of his phone playing "No Longer Slaves" by the Bethel Music on Instagram.
"This song puts my heart and soul at ease," Bieber wrote as the caption.
As early as September 2015, Bieber has already spoken about his love for the song in a Cosmopolitan Magazine interview called "21 Things You Didn't Know About Justin Bieber," where he listed "No Longer Slaves" as one of the Top Three Songs in his iPod playlist along with "Hollywood" by Madonna and "Holly Weezy" by Lil Wayne, which he mistakenly named "To Hollygrove To Go." In the same interview, Bieber admitted that his favorite summer song is Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream." Bieber has always been vocal about being Christian, interacting with prominent Christian preachers like Trinity Church pastor Rich Wilkerson and Hillsong New York City Pastor Carl Lentz. The three were caught on video once singing "Awesome God" by Hillsong United. He has also used his various social media accounts to bring light of his faith, describing it as the "coolest." "Developing my relationship with God has been the coolest thing I've experienced, to know that I'm not alone and I don't have to live in fear," he once wrote on Instagram.
Vindicate me, my god, and plead my cause against an unfaithful nation. Rescue me from those who are deceitful and wicked. - Psalms 43 I'm not religious nor do i think I have ANYTHING figured out that's why I call out on God to help me through what I can't do on my own. Developing my relationship with God has been the coolest thing I've experienced, to know that I'm not alone and I don't have to live in fear. Never feel like I'm pushing anything on u but sharing the good news I've felt in my own life. A photo posted by Justin Bieber (@justinbieber) on May 26, 2015 at 11:29am PDT
The "What Do You Mean" singer recently aired his opinion about award shows after feeling inauthentic following his performance in the Billboard Music Awards, Christian Post reported.
"I don't feel good when I'm there nor after. I try to think of it as a celebration but I can't help feeling like people are rating and grading my performance," he wrote on Instagram.
