Since the early 1900s, people celebrate International Women's Day on March 8 and on this year the theme is focused on being a catalyst for change: "#BeBoldForChange."

When do we celebrate the International Women's Day 2017?

This year, International Women's day will be held on March 8. This is a worldwide event which celebrates women and their achievements. This celebration also calls for gender equality.

Some businesses also take part to the celebration by launching campaign concentrating on women.

Vodafone has launched its #ConnectedSheCan campaign which shows strong commitment and support to gender equality.

Western Union has also participated with their new campaign #TheRaceIsOn. Their campaign is focused on moving money in order to support education which in turn has the power to change the lives of women.

Is there an International Men's Day?

International Men's Day is celebrated every November 19 . The objective of this celebration is also focused on men and their health. They also call for support in gender equality and celebrates the achievements and contributions of men in history.
