When the Lord gives us a promise and we say, "Amen," it is considered a covenant. He will do what He says He will do and we'll do our part and head towards the direction of the promise.
King David understood the faithfulness of God and prayed with the following words:
"And now, O Lord God, confirm forever the word that you have spoken concerning your servant and concerning his house, and do as you have spoken." 2 Samuel 7:25
As we remind God of what He said He will do, we also remind ourselves and our faith grows as we wait in expectation. But there are times when we forget. So, here are three songs that will help us to be reminded that our God is a faithful God.
1) Covenant Keeper by Glowreeyah Braimah
"In the world we live in today where hope has become a major need, Covenant keeper is a worship cry for a divine intervention from the Most High God. My younger sister, Jane-Terese was due for delivery of her triplets and this song cemented my faith in what God could do as one who keeps His word." the singer commented.
As You did it then for Moses
Waters part for me right now
You will never let me down
You're my Covenant Lord
As You did it then for David
Giants fall for me right now
You will never let me down
You're my Covenant Lord
Jesus, You keep all Your promises
Jesus, You're my only Covenant Lord
Jesus, You keep all Your promises
Jesus, You're my only Covenant Lord
2) He's Able by Deitrick Haddon
This song reminds me that God won't only do what He said He'll do, but He'll do even more, even greater than anything that I could possibly expect. The Bible says that what no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man, are the things that God has prepared for those who love Him.
Exceedingly, Abundantly
Above all, all you could ask or think
According to, the power
That worketh in you, you...
God is able to do just what He said He would do
He's gonna fulfill every promise to you
Don't give up on God, cause He won't give up on you
He's able
3) Standing by William McDowell
I discovered this song almost by accident, except I didn't. It was already on my phone but I never listened to it until the day that I actually did. It reminded me that God has great promises on my life and that I have the right to claim them because I am standing on his Word. When God gives out His Word, He makes sure that it comes to pass.
Can you hear the voice of the Father
Inviting you to walk the water?
Risk it all, answer the call, and enter in.
Now we stand on every promise
We're not afraid, our faith goes before us
When we believe, we're gonna see
The supernatural
We're gonna see what we're praying for
We believe every single word
Stronger than we've ever been,
Standing on his promises,
We're gonna see the impossible
We release the supernatural
Stronger than we've ever been,
We are standing on his promises
