Many of us turn to Holy Bible to know the meaning of adultery and how it affects marriage and causes divorce.

Adultery means it is an act of a married person having sexual relationship to anyone other than his/her spouse.

God tells us how harmful adultery is in our lives and through the Bible, He also speaks of mergcy and grace. Those who commit this mortal sin and those who are deeply hurt because of this wonder about consequences.

Thus, read these following Bible Verses about Adultery to learn about the effects and how to deal and keep away from this sin:

1 Corinthians 6:18 "Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body."

Aside from committing mistakes to your spouse, you are also making a mistake against your own body. Remember that God considers our body as a temple.

Exodus 20:14 "You shall not commit adultery."

The oldest and among the ten commandments is found from Exodus 20:14.

Hebrews 13:4 "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral."

Marriage is sacred thus, the two people in marriage should also consider this holy and not commit sins against his or her spouse.
