One of the members of SHINee, one of the biggest names in South Korean K-pop industry, has been found dead in his home in Gangnam, Seoul Korea this week.
Jonghyun, also known by his full name Kim Jong-hyun, was one of the five members of SHINee, a band which had a chain of number one hits in their home country since they began in 2008 under SM Entertainment.
Reports from the Korean Herald stated that the 28 year old K-pop star was immediately taken to hospital after being found unconscious by his sister in an apartment in Seoul.
Police told the news that they would add the angle of suicide in their investigations regarding the star's passing.
South Korean news agency Yonhap reported that emergency services were alerted by the singer's sister, and that he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Aside from being a good singer and danger, Jonghyun also played a large part in the group's songwriting and production, and have also launched a very successful solo career in 2015.
It is still a mystery as to why Jonghyun passed away, with some speculating that his sudden death may have been a result of enormous stress and depression coming from being bullied by antifans.
However, according to a source, the police stated that they have found a frying pan with brown liquid at Jonghyun's residence. The authorities are now inspecting the substance that might have caused the death of the artist.
On the other hand, SM Entertainment has finally released a statement with regards to Jonghyun's condition.

On December 18, SHINee member Jonghyun left our side unexpectedly.
He was found unconscious at a residential hotel in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul and was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on the evening of the 18th. The deep sorrow cannot be compared to ones of his family who had to let go of their loving son and brother but the employees and artists of SM Entertainment, also in deep shock and sorrow, are offering condolences. Jonghyun was the best artist who loved music more than anyone and always worked hard for his performance. It is devastating to deliver such sad news to the fans who gave him great love.
We ask you to refrain from making rumors or assumption based reports in respect of his family who are in deep sorrow from the sudden news.
As his family wished, his funeral will be carried out in the quietest manner with his family members and co-workers.
