NBA superstar and known Christian Jeremy Lin has announced that he has signed with the Brooklyn Nets for three years with his contract amounting to $36 million. According to reports, the deal will allow Lin the stability he needs as he continues his basketball career as he has been playing for three different teams for the past seasons.

The 27-year old - a devout Christian never fearing criticisms about his faith- has thanked God for this new blessing and opportunity on Friday as he posted his sentiment on Twitter.

Prior to his acceptance of the Nets deal, Lin had met up with other NBA teams such as the New Orleans Pelicans on the 30th of June. He also tweeted in the same day a line from Psalm 37:7 which said "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him" and the line "Don't miss today because you're worried about tomorrow. Today is a gift" as a reminder for himself.

With his inclusion to the Brooklyn Nets' roster, Lin will now earn more than $12.1 million per year in comparison to the $2.1 million he earns for Charlotte. He opted for an early termination with Charlotte despite his two-year contract, enabling him to locate a more stable contract. He will be working alongside Nets' head coach Kenny Atkinson, who previously worked with Lin in the New York Knicks as one of its assistant coaches. Lin became famous under the Knicks as he led the team in the 2011-2012 with the highest amount of wins for the season, creating the "Linsanity" craze.
