Before the beginning of the final day of campaigns for the US Presidential Elections, Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton gets a new drive after the FBI announced that no criminal charges will be filed against Clinton regarding her email practices.
FBI Director James Comey announced on Congress on Sunday that the investigators worked "Around the clock" to complete the review of the new emails and found no reason for them to change their earlier findings in July that Clinton was not guilty of criminal wrongdoing in using her private email server as the Secretary of State.
This announcement was interpreted differently by various groups and experts even said that its impact is uncertain. For Clinton's allies, they hope that this will help Clinton secure the presidency and stop the uncertainty and Republican attacks on her character that the other side has been targetting for the past 10 days.
According to House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, "The FBI's swift and thorough review should finally close the door on this Republican sideshow." She also remarked that this election will now be decided on "the merits of the candidates" rather than the innuendo.
For the Republicans, they continue to criticise Clinton and House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan said, "She simply believes she's above the law and always plays by her own rules." He also said that the use of the private email server "compromised our national security."
The US stock index figures had also experienced the shockwave delivered by the FBI announcement as it has increased to more than 1% and the US dollar has also strengthened in the Asian trading markets. The market has been supportive over Clinton's presidency as they see her as a status quo candidate and investors prefer her policies.
Clinton did not remark on the FBI finding on her two campaign events on Sunday, but Republican Candidate Donald Trump had immediately questioned the probe and the issue will not just go away as the others may think.
In front of his supporters in Sterling Heights, Michigan, Trump said, "The investigation will go on, the rank-and-file special agents won't let her get away with her terrible crimes."
Before the big elections on Tuesday, Trump will go to five battleground states - Florida, North Carolina, Pennysylvania, New Hampshire and Michican before closing in a big rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
For Clinton, her Monday schedule will have two stops in Pennyslvania and visit Michigan before she ends her campaign in Raleigh, North Carolina. She will also be appearing at an evening rally at Philadelphia's Independence Hall with President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama with rock star Bruce Springsteen also in attendance.
Prior to the Sunday announcement by the FBI, Clinton's lead over Trump have changed in the various surveys conducted for the elections.
