An Ohio State University student was identified as campus attacker by the Police. This Monday morning, the attacker drove a speeding car into a crowd outside a classroom building then got out and slashed at people with a large knife, causing 11 people to the hospital.
Later after the campus attack, police identified the student, Abdul Razak Ali Artan, was an OSU 20-year-old student, and currently no more information on his possible motive.
Abdul Razak Ali Artan was reported emigrating to the US in 2014 from Somalia. His family left there in 2007 as refugees, spending seven years in Pakistan, and became U.S. legal permanent residents.
Lots of his profiles were released. A segment of “Humans of Ohio State” shows once he complained that there is no Muslim prayer room in the OSU. “This place (The Ohio State) is huge, I don’t even know where to pray.” said Artan, “If people look at me a Muslim Praying, I don’t even know what they’re going to think, whats going to happen.” according to Dailycaller.
“I wanted to pray in the open, but I was kind of scared with everything going in the media.” said Artan, “I’m a Muslim, it’s not what the media portrays me to be.” Artan eventually prayed in a corner on his first day at OSU.
After the chaotic scene Monday in Ohio State University, classed was canceled for the rest day and will open on Tuesday.
