On November 24, Fengtai Church hosted a thanksgiving testimony gathering to commemorate Thanksgiving Day.

Pastoral workers are teachers of the soul. Then how should the church assess their work? Minister Y, in charge of the office at Church A in a downtown southwest city, shared how the church has established a pastoral evaluation system, driven by a strong commitment, a scientific framework, and close relationships among coworkers.

A worship leader is crucial to creating effective worship. A worship leader with both professional musical skills and spiritual maturity can shape the atmosphere and guide the congregants into worship.

On September 25, the third Missiological Engagement plenary was held at the Fourth Lausanne conference. Three scholars and ministers from India and Iran addressed speeches on the theme of “God’s Mission Amidst Challenge and Adversity.”

In the speech named “Gen Zs in Missional Community, God’s New Society”, Professor Denise-Margaret Thompson emphasized to all attendees the significance of Generation Zs for God’s mission today and that the church must engage and equip them in accord with their characteristics.

On September 24th, Bishop Efraim Tendero, executive director of the Galilean Movement and global ambassador of the World Evangelical Alliance, delivered a speech named “Power and Integrity Call for Global Shift in the Missional Community”, calling for five reformations in the face of the current ineffective mission situation.

In the first missiological engagement plenary of the Fourth Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization entitled “God’s Mission Empowered by the Holy Spirit” on September 23, speakers demonstrated dynamic testimonies and rational experience of churches led by the Spirit, highlighting that “God is at work.”

Leaving the first impression of our church to newcomers, the reception staff connect the congregants with the church. They guide first-time guests and maintain order during services. Having the widest contact with believers, they also play an important role in identifying strangers and guarding against heresy.

The youth ministry experience of one church is difficult to replicate in the other. Churches with different conditions may have different expectations, organizational forms, and content for youth ministry. But even in unfavorable conditions, they can still make a difference.

Church social services in China remain mostly charity-focused, often limited to monetary donations and short-term relief. To deepen impact, churches must engage pastors, Christian entrepreneurs, and social service experts for sustainable, community-centered initiatives.
