Ashlee Bond has been on a truly captivating journey. The U.S.-born show-jumping rider is the first Christian athlete to represent Israel at the Olympics. Bond participated in the Tokyo Games in 2021 and was in Paris this summer to once again compete in the Olympic games.

On the 30th July 2024, the UN celebrates International Friendship day. It is borne out of the idea that friendship between peoples, countries, cultures and individuals can inspire peace efforts and build bridges between communities. As a global event, the ongoing Olympics is an excellent opportunity to promote friendship and build bridges between communities.

The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games should show the beauty of sports and promote the unity and progress of mankind, instead of showing extreme cases and creating divisions to protect the minority in the name of infringing on the interests of the majority!
