Rev. Chung Kin Kai, chairman of the Hong Kong Chinese Christian Churches Union (HKCCCU), visited Guangzhou Municipal CC&TSPM, and both sides exchanged views on topics including pastoral management, standardized administration, and public services.
On September 6, during the meeting, Rev. Lin Bingsheng, chairman of the Municipal Christian Council (CC), briefed on the current status of the churches' development and the implementation of the sinicization of Christianity in Guangzhou, as reported by Guangzhou CC&TSPM.
Subsequently, Rev. Wu Zhongwu, vice president and general secretary of the Guangzhou CC, provided an overview of the recent key initiatives of the Guangzhou church, including the organizational structure of the municipal CC&TSPM, integration of the Guangzhou churches, implementation of sinicization of Christianity within the city, talent cultivation, and public services in recent years.
With the affirmation of the endeavors initiated by Guangzhou churches, Rev. Chung Kin Kai, chairman of the HKCCCU, presented the development history of the union and its organization, as well as the social services, extending his anticipation of further collaboration and communication with the churches in Guangzhou.
In closing the meeting, Rev. Fan Hongen, chairman of the Guangdong TSPM, conveyed his expectation of a strengthened connection between churches in Guangdong and Hong Kong, fostering development within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
