The Hong Kong Chinese Christian Churches Union (HKCCCU) visited the East China Theological Seminary in Shanghai.
Xie Bingguo, president of the school, received a delegation of 12 members from the HKCCCU on March 15, along with a seminar attended by some faculty of the seminary and two hymns from the choir of the church music program in the school, said the seminary.
Xie shared the situation of the seminary, especially the efforts in the promotion of Christianity in the Chinese context in recent years, such as conducting a series of lectures, academic exchanges, and publishing works related to the Sinicization of Christianity. Both sides exchanged views on theological education, church music education, and personnel training.
Following the introduction of the ministry of the Hong Kong church, guests visited the seminary library and chapel, with the two parties exchanging gifts.
