Two villages in Weihui City, Henan Province, were in critical condition after being flooded last Thursday by a record-breaking rainstorm.

They were affected by the discharge of water from upstream reservoirs and continuous heavy rainfall, since the center of the rainstorm in Henan moved northward, according to CCC&TSPM (China Christian Council & Three-Self Patriotic Movement) social service department.

CCC&TSPM donated fast food to the suburbs of Weihui City worth 60,000 yuan, including instant noodles, self-heating rice, moon cakes, and drinks, after raising emergency funds from various sources.

The first batch of donated materials arrived overnight last Friday at the temporary resettlement site, where villagers received food in the early morning of the next day.

Some villagers said, "Moon cakes are delicious anti-hunger agents!"

On the evening of July 24th, materials in the second batch, more than 700 boxes of instant noodles, were transported to temporary settlements in the suburb areas.
