On the evening of January 28, 2016, an episode named How to Save You, Internet suicide pact of the program Social Society, is broadcast on Guangdong TV. The program invites Christian writer Sha Guang who has helped people out of suicide, and a saved netizen Haohao, to share their experience.
Sha Guang shares that she has successfully counselled 35 netizens who foretold their suicides. Among them 28 are the post-90s. In her counselling she points the 4 main reasons arousing suicides: broken family, social apathy, lacking parent accompany and social counselling.
Planed to commit suiside on Ovt 25th, 2014, Haohao, 18YO, was saved by Sha Guang on the Sina-microblog. Converted to Christianity, currently Haohao attends church steadily. He encourages people who face similar situations like him to not give up, but always have hope.
Their story moves the host and audiences. In fact, this is not the first time when Sha Guang notices her efforts on saving Internet suiciders. Early on January 5, 2015, she was invited to attend the program of Dragon TV along with another saved young suicider Yingying.
Yingying, who counted down her 'suicide time' for twelve days on the microblog in 2014, changed her idea with the help of kind people in the past days. She mentioned that one of those helpers, was Sha Guang who influenced her the most and called her "Sha Guang Mom".
After having contacted these young children, Sha Guang said, "I want to write a book about the 35 miserable stories for young people's parents." She hopes that the young, the parents and society can learn a lesson from them.
She shares that her faith gives herself and those who accept her rescues much help. "This is the testimony that I practice Christ's love in the society." Says Sha Guang. She hopes more people pay attention to the group to save more young suiciders.
