Yao Ming was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame on Monday. As the Asian NBA Basketball player, Jeremy Lin comments that Yao is a trailblazer for Asians.
“Congrats Yao Ming on the Hall of Fame!! A trailblazer for Asians in basketball and more!” says Jeremy Lin on his Facebook on this Monday.
Yao Ming, came from Shanghai, China, is the first athlete in Chinese sports history to have his No. 15 jersey retired in his hometown team, shortly after joining the Houston Rockets in 2002, reported by the Washington Post.
On this Monday, Yao was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, and the selection committee said he “changed the face of global basketball as a respected player and ambassador of the game.”
