Usually, when a patient realizes that he or she has a terrible disease that can be very fatal such as cancer, he/she would not immediately believe it and soon complain that it was unfair that he/she might end up with such fate. However, one Christian responded quite differently when she was diagnosed with cancer. She accepted her fate and placed her healing and recovery into the hands of the Lord.
At a witness assembly held in the Joyous Candle Light Fellowship of Chongwenmen Church of Beijing on May 29, Sister Deng Huijun from the church choir stepped forward and shared her experience on experiencing God and how she accepted that she was suffering from cancer.
Sister Deng is over 70 years old and was diagnosed with rectal cancer. She only weighs 35kg and her condition is controlled by chemotherapy. When she realized what has transpired, she remained calm to the point her doctor thought she did not understand her disease. She told the doctor that she was a Christian and gave her full trust to the treatment program advised by the doctor.
She told her brothers and sisters that while she was uncertain if she would be healed by God, she did not worry at all because she believed that her tomorrow was in God’s plan and everything from God was good.
With her own experience, she also told everyone that early diagnosis and treatment were important to stop the progression of the disease. She had suffered from serious hemorrhoid for 10 years, but she did’t pay much attention to the symptom and the disease slowly progressed into rectal cancer.
