On Dec 3, "Family of Pingxiang Christian Volunteers" participated in the fourth volunteer cultural festival of Pingxiang "December 5th Public welfare in my heart."
According to sister Xu, a fellow worker on the service team, "Family of Pingxiang Christian Volunteers" was officially registered in May this year. There are more than 20 active personnel that carry out ministries like caring for patients with AIDS, seniors without families, terminal care, and more.
It was learned that since 2008, Christian organizations of Pingxiang actively gave wide publicity to the believers about AIDS prevention knowledge and education. More than 30 people were chosen and developed to be key members for AIDS-prevention project. They also successfully applied the fourth round of the China Global Fund/ Chinese-English AIDS NGO Program. In the meantime, The AIDS prevention and control work has begun to develop in depth, which is to carry out terminal care activities for AIDS patients.
