On May 30, 2018, a group of young students from Azusa Pacific University, United States, visited CCC&TSPM.
The team leader Stuart C. Strother, an economic professor from the school, said that the purpose of the trip was to explore the connection between China's economy and religions as a preparation for the students' theses. The majority of the group are students from the department of economics. The professor stated that the visit to China changed their views of the Chinese church, eliminating their misconception and prejudice of the church in China.
Afterward, the students asked questions about Christianity in China and Bible translations. Rev. Lin Manhong, associate general secretary of the CCC, answered them. Later the delegation visited Holy Trinity Church and a bookstore.
Founded in 1899, APU is a private, evangelical Christian university in California, offering more than 100 associate's, bachelor's, and master's, and doctoral programs.
