The China Christian Council (CCC) & the Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM) will start their 10th national congress in Beijing this evening, November 27 and elect a new leadership team on Thursday morning, according to the registered church's official WeChat account, "Today's Chinese Christianity".
The meeting is held every five years to review its work and select the chairman, vice-chairman, and secretary general of the 10th TSPM, as well as the president, vice-president, and general secretary of the 8th CCC. In addition, one of the highlights will be to elect a board of supervisors.
Rev. Gao Feng serves as the current president of the CCC. The chairman position of the TSPM is still vacant since Elder Fu Xianwei, the former chairman, according to the CCC & the TSPM, died in hospital on Aug 20.
