The Huangpu District Government in Shanghai expressed its expectation that the CCC&TSPM would "prioritize the promotion of China's religious policies in international exchanges and interactions, contributing to the enhancement of Shanghai and Huangpu's global image."

According to CCC&TSPM, on February 26, during a meeting with Rev. Xu Xiaohong, chairperson of the national TSPM, and Gu Mengfei, secretary general of the national TSPM, Mr. Gao Yun, secretary of the CPC Shanghai Huangpu District Committee, expressed the hope that CCC&TSPM would actively utilize its strengths in talent and intellectual resources, engage in social welfare and charitable activities, promote China's religious policies in international exchanges, and help enhance the global image of Shanghai and Huangpu. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of contributing to the accelerated development of Huangpu as a core leading area for a socialist modern international metropolis with global influence.

Rev. Xu expressed his gratitude to the CPC Huangpu District Committee and the District Government for their longstanding support of the Three-Self Patriotic Movement Committee of the Protestant Churches in China. Since its reopening in December 2022 as a church directly affiliated with the CCC&TSPM, Holy Trinity Cathedral has become a key platform for conveying the CCC&TSPM's message and promoting the sinicization of Christianity. Notably, the 2024 Bund renovation project, which upgraded the church's facade lighting and the street garden landscape, has enhanced the cathedral's prominence as a significant historical building in the Bund Historical and Cultural Block, making it more popular with the public and strengthening the connection between CCC&TSPM and the grassroots.
