Dr. Milton Wan Wai-yiu, a respected theologian at the Divinity School of Chung Chi College, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, has been diagnosed with leukemia and is in urgent need of blood donations as he undergoes treatment in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.
It is said that he is scheduled to begin chemotherapy on June 24 or 25, which requires large-scale blood transfusions. As of now, only six individuals have donated, leaving a large gap in the needed blood volume. All believers, particularly those in Hangzhou, are encouraged to participate in the donation effort, as all blood types are accepted and can aid in his treatment.
Donors may visit any official blood donation site in Hangzhou. By following the instructions and providing the needed details, they can ensure the donation is directed to Dr. Wan.
Dr. Wan, holding doctoral degrees from both Oxford University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, has dedicated over 40 years to theological education. As a Christian scholar specializing in spiritual theology and Chinese theology, he currently serves as an honorary senior research fellow and honorary coordinator of the Resource Center for Contemporary Christian Studies.
Known by some as a "contemporary Job," Dr. Wan has endured the loss of his wife, father, and young daughter. The Christian community is invited to support him through both blood donation and prayer.
