In the afternoon of Nov.7, Beijing Haidian Christian Church held the Opening Worship of the Third Sacred Music Training Program. About 300 people attended it.
According to the official website of Haidian Church. The class of the Program is divided into three phases: first phase the class time is 14:00-16:00pm every Sat from Nov. 7 to 28 and the class content includes fundamental music theory(numbered musical notation and stave), solfeggio and ear training, vocal music training, chorus training and the basis of serving. The class time and content of the second and third phases haven't been published yet.
The requirement for students who want to join in the class is: He or she should fear God, love China and churches with good character; loves church music and will participate in sacred music serve; obeys the class arrangement during the class period; below the age of 55.
The three instructors Cheng Weichun, Song Fei and Tang Junjie are selected from several choirs of Haidian Church. To ensure the training quality, the Training Program makes 9 rules, which includes reading the 4 psalms per day.
The Second Sacred Music Training Program was held from July to September, 2014. The training content included the fundamental theory and knowledge of vocal music, solfeggio and ear training, chorus training, knowledge of numbered musical notation and the appreciation of western classical music.
