Churches in Suzhou has reached acheivements in charity ministry in the past 2015, according to the news of Suzhou CCC&TSPM.
There were several forms of charitable events churches raised in the past year:
1. Care Team
Care Teams have been established in all the local churches of Suzhou. Pastors, preaches and volunteers have participated in visiting and caring people. It reached 1931 visits and a donation of about 36,000 yuan.
2. Giving financial aid to students and sending greetings
Suzhou churches emphasized on the members who were sick, poor or dropped out of schools and provided them with financial aid or other aid, meanwhile cooperating with schools and charitable organizations. They also greeted non-Christians.
It's estimated that the churches aided or greeted 1440 people with donating about 174,000 yuan.
3. Medical and health care
Every church is equipped with a medical team providing free clinic by professional doctors on Sundays and offers free medical counselling for members and surrounding communities. Besides, local churches held more than 20 hygiene and health lectures in 2015.
4. Others
The churches also promoted other activities including donation for disaster-stricken areas, blood donation, bazaars, holding kinds of cultural training course and English training to the society.
